Since its foundation in 1954, JSC Nevinnomyssky Azot has followed a long and productive path of development, becoming one of the leading chemical enterprises not only in Russia but also beyond its borders.
Starting as a modest nitrogen plant, we expanded rapidly, introducing new technologies and production processes. On the night of 1–2 August 1962, when the plant produced its first product — ammonia — an important chapter in our history began. That moment became the starting point for the development of mineral fertilizer and nitrate production.
Year after year, our production capacity grew and our product range expanded. In 1970, a complex for compound fertilizer production was built, and in 1973 our plant produced ammonia on the first large-capacity unit using the energy-technology scheme of TEC (Japan).
The following decades were marked by significant achievements and innovations. In 1992 the enterprise was privatized and converted into an open joint-stock company, opening new opportunities for development and modernization. The commissioning of new processes and units, such as the melamine production facility in 2007 and pilot production of GTU-8 turbines in 2010, demonstrate our commitment to innovation and modern technology.
Our efforts to protect the environment and ensure ecological safety also play an important role. We continually improve production processes and implement modern technologies to minimize environmental impact and create safe working conditions for our employees.
